Look at that ! It is now official, the bedroom is ... ready to be used !!! We've worked our socks of since the week-end to finish the painting, get the wardrobes from Ikea, carry them upstairs (it's HEAVY), get ready for the carpet fitters, build those fucking wardrobes (and that's me being polite), finish modifying curtains (with a 'vintage' sewing machine), install the curtain poles, build the bed, make the bed, tidy up a bit ....
Mais bon, notre courte nuit, on l'a faite dans le nouveau lit !!!
But our short night was spent in the new bed !!!
Petites leçons à retenir de ce rallye-bricolage :
- suivez toujours à la lettre (en l'occurence, c'est plutôt 'à l'image') les instructions Ikéa (demandez à Robin)
- ne laissez pas d'enfants à proximité d'un site de construction d'armoires et de meubles. Je ne pense pas aux questions de sécurité, mais au vocabulaire qui finit nécessairement par être employé ...
- rangez bien les outils et regardez bien le contenu des petits sachets (surtout si la trousse à outils n'est pas au même étage)
L'important est là : la chambre de Camille est prête !
Lessons to learn from this DIY marathon:
- do follow to the letter (or rather picture) the instructions to build your Ikea furniture (ask Robin)
- don't allow children to come near the assembly site. I'm not concerned about safety here, but with the register of language which inevitably gets used.
- keep tools tidy, and look into all the little bags (especially if the tool box isn't on the same floor)
But the main thing is here : Camille's room is ready !
